#RussiaUkraineConflict: Russia’s attack on Ukraine continues. Now the Russian army has reached the cities of Ukraine. Due to air strikes and army firing, common people are in danger. So far, about 250 civilians have been killed by Ukraine. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Thursday and ISKCON temples have emerged as examples of humanity. In these gurudwaras and temples, the needy are being helped without any discrimination. The hungry are being fed and the homeless are being given shelter. People are coming here to take shelter from the missiles and bombs of the Russian army.
Video of Langar on a Train goes viral
A video of a ‘langar on a train’ serving hungry students traveling to Ukraine’s border with Poland has surfaced. The viral video, tweeted by Ravinder Singh (Founder-CEO of Khalsa AID), shows students enjoying langar in a moving train. The tweet mentions several students from different countries for providing langar food and help. watch video below
Let us tell you, in recent times, wherever there has been a crisis on mankind, Gurudwaras have been seen as an example. Whether it is the era of corona epidemic or war in Afghanistan. Sikh organizations made headlines for their humanitarian aid during the Afghanistan crisis. The organization rescued Afghan citizens who had fled their country and gave them shelter, food.
ISKCON opens doors for all
Amid rising tensions in Ukraine, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) has opened the temple gates for those in need in the eastern European nation. Radharaman Das, Vice President, ISKCON, Kolkata, said, “The ISKCON temples across Ukraine are ready to serve the needy. Our devotees are committed to serve the people in distress. The doors of our temple are open for service. ISKCON has more than 54 temples in Ukraine and our devotees are trying to serve others in any way they can. Sunday morning we got an update from our devotees in Kiev and by the grace of Lord Krishna they are all safe and our 54 temples are also safe.
