New Delhi. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, during an election rally on Tuesday, alleged that the Prime Minister was merely watching the attack on fishermen in Tamil Nadu by Sri Lanka, which has “waged an undeclared war” against the fishermen of the state. Questioned why PM Modi is ‘hesitating’ to question Sri Lanka on the attacks against fishermen of Tamil Nadu.
MK Stalin asked whether Modi would remain ‘silent’ if fishermen in Gujarat were attacked by Pakistan. He asked, “You (Modi) are a big world leader, can’t you condemn Sri Lanka for the attack on fishermen of Tamil Nadu?” Stalin, president of the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in Tamil Nadu, mocked Modi and asked whether Prime Minister Modi is ‘Vishwa Guru or Silent Guru.’ He said that the fishermen of Tamil Nadu are demanding answers from Prime Minister Modi on the Sri Lankan attacks on fishermen. Stalin alleged that before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Modi had called the Congress ‘weak’ for the Sri Lankan attacks on fishermen, however, he was now merely looking at the attacks.
