New Delhi: Now fire is going to rain from the sky in North India including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Delhi-NCR. The weather has started showing its temper and the harsh sunlight since morning has started troubling people. Heat wave has already started appearing in many states including Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. IMD i.e. Meteorological Department has predicted that fireballs will rain from the sky in many states. According to IMD, heatwave warning has been issued for many states across the country including Maharashtra, North Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and West Bengal. At the same time, Delhi-NCR has seen strong sunlight since morning today i.e. Wednesday and there is a possibility of increase in temperature.
According to Skymet Weather, a weather information website, there is a possibility of rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds (30-40 km per hour) in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during April 18 and 21. At the same time, during the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain and snowfall is possible in Arunachal Pradesh. There may be sporadic light rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayas. Under the influence of fresh Western Disturbance, light to moderate rain and snowfall with thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) is possible over the Western Himalayas between April 18 and 21.
The IMD issued a separate warning especially for cities like Thane, Mumbai and Raigad in Maharashtra, indicating a heat wave to come this week. The minimum temperature in Mumbai and Thane in Maharashtra is expected to be 36 to 38 degrees Celsius. IMD said that heatwave conditions are expected to continue in Odisha and West Bengal till April 19, in Andhra Pradesh till April 18, in Telangana from April 17 to 18 and in North Goa till April 16.
Where will fire rain from the sky?
The weather department has predicted hot and humid weather conditions for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala till April 18 and for West Bengal, Odisha, Goa, Gujarat and Karnataka till April 16. There will be an increase in temperature in both the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and heat wave conditions are expected to persist in both the states from 16 to 18 April. Heatwave alert has also been issued in West Bengal, where the temperature is expected to rise from 17 to 19 April. IMD says that due to extreme heat during the day, it will be difficult for people to come out of their homes.
There will be relief from rain in North India
Talking about South India, yellow alert has been issued in many districts of Kerala including Kollam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Thiruvananthapuram. Apart from this, districts like Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Kasaragod are likely to see high temperatures this week. However, weather forecasters in northwest India have predicted rain with strong winds, hail and thunderstorms today. It is expected to rain again in the next four days.
