Badaun (UP). Over-zealous BJP workers in Uttar Pradesh’s Budaun district bulldozed a row of cycles to celebrate their party’s success in the state assembly elections. While the cycle is the election symbol of the Samajwadi Party (SP), the bulldozer has become synonymous with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s campaign against the mafia.
Yogi had said in his election meetings that “BJP will bulldozer on SP’s cycle after assembly elections.”
A video of the celebration has been widely shared on social media.
A party worker said, “We are extremely happy that the SP has lost the election and leaders like Swami Prasad Maurya have lost the elections. Those who have stabbed the BJP in the back have got a befitting reply. BJP’s victory proved it.” It has been done that the people want an honest government.”
Another BJP leader said that ‘Bulldozer Baba’ (a name now known as Yogi) would continue to demolish mafia’s palaces. Yogi’s victory means that the goons will never be able to return to the state.
The Chief Minister had earlier said that bulldozers were being used to build expressways and highways and also to crush the mafia.
