Chief Electoral Officer Ajay Kumar Shukla said that in this phase 2.15 crore voters will be able to exercise their franchise. This includes 1.15 crore male and 1 crore female voters. 1353 Third gender will also be able to exercise their franchise in this phase. He said that out of 676 candidates, the number of women candidates is 66. A total of 25326 polling stations and 13936 polling stations have been set up in this phase. Out of this, live webcasting of 50 percent polling stations will be done. A total of 1113 Adarsh polling stations and 76 such booths have been set up in this phase where all the workers will be women.
Tight security arrangements have been made for the sixth phase of elections. 851 Company Central Para Military Forces have been deployed in this phase. Apart from this, the duty of Inspector, Sub Inspector, Constable and Head Constable has been imposed in large numbers. Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that in this phase a total of 9 assembly constituencies have been marked as sensitive. This includes Gorakhpur city, Sidharthnagar’s Bansi, Etawah, Dumariaganj, Ballia Nagar, Phephna, Bairia, Sikandarpur and Bansdih’s seat. Apart from this, 2962 polling places have been considered very sensitive.

Re-polling also at a booth in Handia
Voting will be held again on Thursday in Prayagraj’s Handia assembly seat, booth number 311, Manikpur Primary School. Voting was held here on February 27 but the voting documents were lost, due to which voting is being held again.
