Lucknow. Yogi government has notified 8671 TB patients in a special campaign run in the state from December 7 to 14 to ensure notification of TB patients undergoing treatment in private hospitals. It is known that the Yogi government had set the target of notification of private hospitals this year at 2 lakh 24 thousand 300, in which till December 6, 1,95,050 TB patients had been notified. Through this campaign this number has increased to 2 lakh 3 thousand 721. Joint Director (Terosis)/State Tuberculosis Control Program Officer Dr. Shailendra Bhatnagar said that as per the intention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, all efforts are being made to fulfill the target 100 percent.
Yogi government’s focus is on increasing TB screening and early testing.
Dr. Bhatnagar says that the entire focus of the Yogi government is on increasing the screening of TB and starting the treatment of patients confirmed with TB through prompt testing. Apart from this, under the Nikshay Nutrition Scheme, Rs 500 per month is being given in the bank account during the treatment, so that along with the initial treatment of TB, proper nutrition can also be ensured during the treatment. Notification of TB patients of private hospitals on Nikshay portal will make it easier for them to avail the benefits of Nikshay Nutrition Scheme and connect them with Nikshay Mitras. With this, they will be able to get emotional support along with proper nutrition, so that they can recover quickly. It is known that Director General – Medical and Health Services, Dr. Deepa Tyagi had directed all the Chief Medical Officers and District Tuberculosis Officers of the state regarding the special campaign that along with increasing the notification, they should also ensure that the missed patients are notified on the Nikshay portal. Maximum notifications during the campaign in Kanpur city
During the one-week special campaign, maximum 829 TB patients were notified in Kanpur city, 597 in Lucknow, 551 in Ghaziabad, 519 in Agra and 309 in Mathura through private hospitals. Help of voluntary organizations HLFPPT and Doctors for You is also being taken in increasing the notification of private hospitals in these districts.
More TB patients notified in private sector in 12 districts than target
The target of notification of TB patients through private hospitals has been set for every district of the state in the year 2023. 12 districts of the state have already crossed this target. In these districts, Mathura has crossed its target of 10 thousand and till December 14, 13103 TB patients have been notified through private hospitals. Similarly, in Bareilly 8821 against the target of 8200, Ayodhya 2783 instead of 2400, Meerut 6644 instead of 6300, Bijnor 3585 against 3000, Aligarh 6550 against 6000, Gorakhpur 6355 against 5000, Ballia 1907 TB patients against 1800 in the private sector. Have been notified through 14th December. Apart from this, in Jaunpur district, 3947 TB patients have increased from the target of 3700, in Pratapgarh, 858 against 800, in Gautam Buddha Nagar, 4452 against 4400 and in Amethi, 517 TB patients against 500 have been notified through the private sector.
