New Delhi. Yogi government wants to establish farmers as entrepreneurs. This will not only increase the income of the farmers, but will also provide employment opportunities to the youth. With the help of State Government Food Processing Industries Policy-2017 (Revised), 375 large units will be set up. Also, 41336 food processing units will be established/upgraded under PMFME scheme.

Yogi government wants to increase the income of farmers. Along with this, the target of the government is that in the next five years, at least one person from every family should get employment opportunity. For this, the Yogi government is continuously working. The government wants the farmers to get a good price for their crops. For this, the government will connect the farmers with the food processing industry. After food processing, there will be no possibility of crop damage and good price of the product will also be available in the market. With this many employment opportunities will also be available.
Government setting up food processing units
The government will establish/upgrade 41336 food processing units under the PMFME scheme. Under the Prime Minister’s Formalization of Micro Food Processing (PMFME) scheme, the government provides assistance to start their work in the food industry. Under this small food processing industries can be started. Along with this, 375 large units will be set up with the help of State Government Food Processing Industries Policy-2017 (Revised). Apart from this, arrangements will also be made for training of farmers and entrepreneurs to set up industries. The government aims to provide training to 210,000 entrepreneurs and farmers in the next five years.
