The country’s leading automaker Mahindra & Mahindra recently released the teaser of its three upcoming SUVs. According to the report, all three vehicles will be based on the company’s new EV platform. Also known as the ‘Born Electric Vision’, the new Mahindra Electric SUV has been designed by the brand’s UK-based Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) division, and the concept version will be unveiled in July 2022.

MahindraXUV400 could be the name
If reports are to be believed, the production-ready version of the Mahindra XUV300 Electric could be named Mahindra XUV400, with the file production model likely to get a closed grille and blue highlights in place, which will differentiate it from the IC engine-equipped XUV300. At present, no information has been revealed about the battery pack of this car, but it is believed that the company will offer it with two battery packs – 350V and 380V.

The company will launch 8 new electric vehicles
Notably, the domestic automaker had announced that it would introduce 8 new electric vehicles by 2027. Four of them will be derived from the existing petrol and diesel Mahindra SUVs. Mahindra’s new electric cars will be designed on the new ‘Born Electric’ platform from the very beginning. The company is also planning to create an individual sub-brand for its EV range.
