Drones will be provided by Iran to Russia for action on Ukraine. The US claims that Iran is preparing to supply hundreds of weapons-capable drones to Russia. At the same time, after being warned by America, the Kremlin has also informed that Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to Tehran.
White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said it was not clear whether Iran has yet delivered any drones to Russia. He said Iranian drones were used by Houthi rebels in Yemen to attack Saudi Arabia.
Sullivan’s claim comes as Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday that Putin would travel to Iran’s capital Tehran next week to hold talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Earlier on Tuesday, Iranian state media also reported that Putin would visit Tehran next week to discuss further deepening economic ties.
On the other hand, Ukraine is being given additional assistance of $ 1.7 billion from the US and the World Bank. This amount is being given to pay salaries of distressed health care workers and to provide other essential services.
Months of conflict between the two countries has forced medical workers to leave Ukraine, with some hospitals closed and others destroyed in bombings. At the same time, health workers living in Ukraine are still doing their work in these conditions.
Ukraine’s Health Minister Viktor Lyashko said paying salaries to health workers was becoming increasingly difficult every month “because of the heavy burden of the war”.
