Gurugram. The Cyber Crime Unit has arrested two youths including a bank employee for cheating people by luring them to earn money through gaming apps. They used to get the details of the account by luring them to earn money by linking the bank account with the gaming app. After getting the account, they used to sell it to cyber thugs. Then the game of cheating started. ACP Cyber Crime Priyanshu Diwan said, ‘On January 25, a person complained to the Cyber Crime police station that he had seen an advertisement by the name of a car hire on Snapchat. After clicking on the advertisement, filled in your details. After some time, some persons contacted through Telegram and lured them to earn money by working from home and about Rs 1 crore 12 lakh 99 thousand were defrauded. On the complaint, a case was registered in Cyber Crime Manesar police station.
According to Priyanshu Diwan, Cyber Crime Police Station Manesar took action and arrested two accused. The accused were identified as Zaildar Brar and Nitesh.

During interrogation, it was revealed that Zaildar Brar worked in a finance bank and Nitesh worked in an insurance company. Jaildar Brar said that out of the amount defrauded from the complainant, an amount of about Rs 26 lakh was transferred to a bank account named Akhil Trading. Till now around Rs 4.5 crore of fraudulent amount has been transferred to Akhil’s bank account.

During police interrogation, the accused also revealed that both of them together used to take bank accounts from people in the name of linking them to the gaming app and provide them to their other cyber fraud associates, who cheat people in the name of trading and gaming. Get Rs 1 lakh for providing a bank account. 30 thousand rupees were recovered from the possession of the accused by the police team. The police have started preparing to present the accused in the court and take them on remand.
