Tashkent. Uzbekistan has lifted some corona restrictions from Wednesday and decided to issue electronic visas to foreign tourists to enter the country. This information was given by the special commission. Foreigners arriving in Uzbekistan will still have to produce a vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test report within 72 hours of arrival, Xinhua news agency reported, according to the commission. If they don’t have the report they will have to get an express test done in Uzbekistan.
The country has lifted all temporary restrictions at border posts with neighboring Kazakhstan and Tajikistan to allow free passage of passengers.
Corona cases in Uzbekistan have dropped to less than 100 in recent weeks. So far 237,341 cases of corona have been reported in the country, while 1,637 people have died.
