Lucknow. A difficult situation has arisen for BJP MP Varun Gandhi. On one hand, he has not yet received a ticket from BJP. At the same time, SP has also given a shock. Samajwadi Party has announced to give ticket to Bhagwat Saran Gangwar from Varun Gandhi’s Pilibhit parliamentary seat. Till now it was believed that if Varun Gandhi does not get the ticket from BJP, then he can join the SP camp. Despite being a BJP MP, Varun Gandhi has been in the news by giving statements against the party on many issues.
Earlier on Wednesday, news had come that Varun Gandhi had purchased 4 sets of nomination papers. Now the question is that if Varun Gandhi does not get the ticket from BJP, will he contest from Pilibhit seat as an independent candidate? Let us tell you that Varun Gandhi had given many statements in opposition to BJP during the UP Assembly elections, but BJP candidates had won the assembly seats of Pilibhit district. Due to this, the claims made regarding Varun Gandhi’s dominance on Pilibhit seat were also eclipsed. Actually, Varun Gandhi has won the Pilibhit seat thrice. In such a situation, the discussion about his dominance has been going on here. Now everyone’s eyes are on whether Varun Gandhi gets the ticket from BJP or not and if he does not get the ticket, then what steps will these other big leaders of the Gandhi family take.
BJP has so far released 2 lists of candidates. There were names of 195 candidates in the first list of BJP. In the second list, BJP had released the names of 72 candidates. Varun Gandhi did not find a place in both these lists. Voting for Lok Sabha on Varun Gandhi’s Pilibhit seat is to be held in the first round on April 19. BJP’s Central Election Committee meeting is to be held on Friday. After this, the party is likely to release the third list on Saturday.
