New Delhi. These days there is a tussle going on in the Aam Aadmi Party in the Swati Maliwal case. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Kejriwal’s PA Vibhav Kumar is in police custody. He has been accused of assaulting and misbehaving with AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal. The court has issued a notice to Delhi Police to respond to this matter. Now the next hearing of this case will be held on 27 May. Earlier, the court had sent the accused Vibhav Kumar to judicial custody for 4 days. Delhi Police presented Vibhav Kumar before the court after the end of 5 days of judicial custody. Due to the appeal of Delhi Police, the court allowed him to be kept in judicial custody till 28 May. However, even after his appeal, he does not seem to be getting any special relief from the court.
Vibhav Kumar was arrested on 18 May after Swati Maliwal’s allegations. The incident of misbehavior with Swati Maliwal happened on 13 May. In connection with the investigation, Delhi Police also took accused Vibhav Kumar to CM residence. Where the entire scene of the incident with Swati Maliwal was recreated. Delhi Police took Vibhav Kumar to three places. It has also been found in the investigation that Vibhav Kumar had also formatted his phone at one place.
According to the police, she cited malfunction and formatted her phone on May 17. Maliwal was allegedly attacked at the chief minister’s residence. The FIR lodged at the Civil Lines police station includes charges under sections 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 341 (wrongful restraint), 354 (b) (assault or use of criminal force to woman) of the Indian Penal Code. Additionally, charges under sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code have also been included.
