Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik
Veteran wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik, who is counted among the veteran players of the Indian Premier League (IPL), said goodbye to this T20 league after the Royal Challengers Bangalore team was eliminated from the eliminator match in the 17th season. Karthik had clearly said in one of his statements before the start of this season that this would be his last season in IPL. After RCB lost the match against Rajasthan Royals by 4 wickets, Dinesh Karthik took a round of the Ahmedabad stadium and accepted the greetings of the fans, while he was also given a guard of honor by the players of the RCB team. Now a video has also been posted by RCB about Dinesh Karthik in which Virat Kohli has given his reaction to Karthik’s retirement.
He has knowledge of many things, not just cricket
In a video released by RCB, Virat Kohli said about Dinesh Karthik that I have had many good and wonderful conversations with him outside the field, he is a very intelligent person and he has good knowledge of many things other than cricket. When I met him for the first time in the 2009 Champions Trophy, he seemed to me a very confused and hyperactive person. During that time I shared a changing room with him, he used to roam everywhere. When I watch Dinesh Karthik play, he seems to be a very technically correct player to me. Whatever role you give him, he adapts to it completely. I saw him playing in the 2013 IPL season when he scored more than 600 runs. During that time he played many great shots.
Karthik talked to me during my bad form
Regarding Dinesh Karthik, Virat Kohli further said that when I was not playing well during the 2022 IPL season, Karthik came and talked to me 2 to 3 times and honestly told me how he was seeing things about me because maybe I was not able to see things better at that time. I like his honesty and courage very much and this is one of the reasons why I have always had a rapport with him. Kohli also expressed hope that Karthik will remain associated with the RCB franchise in the coming future.
