Significantly, more than half a dozen students of Morena district, who have been trapped in Ukraine after the Russian attack, have gone to Ukraine’s medical colleges to study medicine. These include Yogmaya Upadhyay, daughter of Dr. Padmesh Upadhyay of District Hospital, Vedanta Kulshrestha, son of Mukesh Kulshrestha, head accountant of RS Industries, Parashar, resident of Gandhinagar, Aman Sharma, son of Dr. Vasudev Sharma, private clinic operator of Kailars, Atul son Mukesh Gaur, resident of Sabalgarh and Bhanu’s son Dr. Satish Sharma, a resident of Bilgaon in Jaura, was trapped in Ukraine. Of these, Atul Gaur had reached Delhi only on Wednesday evening. On Friday, Vedanta Kulshreshtha reached Morena by road, then Yogmaya Upadhyay and Samagra Parashar came to Morena at 5 pm by Sachkhand Express, who received a rousing welcome at the railway station. A student from Morena is still stuck on the Hungarian border. The relatives of these youths who have returned after seeing the horrors of war very closely are now afraid even in the name of sending them to Ukraine for studies, while the youth say that if the situation improves, they would like to go to Ukraine again to complete their studies, because the country I cannot complete medical studies.
The tricolor became the shield of security, the soldiers fighting for the protection
Parashar, Vedanta Kulshrestha and Yogmaya Upadhyay, who have returned from Ukraine, explaining the situation in Ukraine, say with great pride that the flag of our country has great respect in the whole of Europe including Ukraine. In the war in which Russia and Ukraine were firing bullets, buses, missiles and tanks at each other, then the tricolor flag became a protective shield for the Indians. The taxi, bus or auto on which Indians used to leave with the tricolor flag, that vehicle was not attacked by the army of Russia or Ukraine, but was given a way to get out safely. Yogmaya Upadhyay said that checking was being done every five kilometers, alarms would sound on the entire roads, in such a dangerous environment, Indian citizens would see Indian citizens in passports by stopping the tricolor vehicles for five to seven minutes and letting them go with respect. Parashar tells that he feels proud to see the tricolor on foreign soil and this honor of India.
When he reached the airport to catch the flight, the attack took place.
For several months, there was talk of Russia attacking Ukraine, while news channels were being told as rumours. When the situation started deteriorating, I got a ticket on February 24 to return to India. I had a flight at 11.15 in the morning and I was at the airport when Russia attacked. Hidden in the underground station of the metro train for a few hours. After this he stayed in the embassy for three to four days. Apart from the day, there were sounds of bombings throughout the night, moment by moment the danger and fear was increasing. Little did he tell his parents about the dangerous situation there, so that the family did not panic. I have been living in Kyiv, Ukraine for five years and have one and a half years of studies left. If the situation becomes normal then I would like to go back to Ukraine to complete my studies. If the government gives a degree after completing studies here at the same cost, then it may not go to Ukraine.

Would have entered the bunker as soon as the explosion happened, spent the nights in minus degree
When the attack took place, leaving the airport and hiding in the station of the metro train, then there was a lot of fear. In these eight days of war, the danger was increasing moment by moment, the explosions were so strong, that their tremors were clearly felt on the earth. As soon as these blasts happened, we were thrown out of the building and hid under bunkers. Many times we had to stay in the bunker overnight, that time was very difficult because the temperature reached minus degree in the night, body due to cold and heart and mind trembled due to explosions. The Embassy of Kyiv and then the Embassy of Poland helped us a lot, Operation Ganga being run by the government and the efforts of the ministers of the Government of India to go to Ukraine, Poland etc. to support the students was very good. This move of the government reduced our fear and started believing that we can go home safely.

Used to tell parents everything is fine here, but the soul was trembling there
On 24 February, he had reached the airport to come home, when the Russian army attacked. When the news of the attack on TV channels at the airport spread, there was panic. People started looking for a safe place to escape. We also hid in the underground bunker. The situation there was very bad, there were tanks, armed soldiers roaming the streets. A Russian bomb or missile could fall anywhere, anytime. My parents and the whole family were nervous, but I always told them that everything is fine, don’t panic. We kept on moving from here to there to find a safe place. There was a lot of fear while coming from the airport to the embassy. After staying in the embassy for three days there was no help and even when leaving the embassy at his own risk to go to Poland, there was still a lot of fear, because the sounds of bombs and missiles were coming from all around.
