Kolkata: Amid the ongoing campaign for the Lok Sabha elections, a group of unidentified people on Saturday stopped the car of West Bengal Congress President Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury in his Lok Sabha constituency Behrampur. The youth raised slogans of ‘go back’, prompting the Congress leaders to stop and ask them about their grievances.
Adhir Ranjan held Trinamool Congress responsible for this and alleged that it was a practice started by the state’s ruling party since last year’s civic elections. He told the journalists that this is nothing but a ploy to stop him and the local TMC is behind it.
