Patna. In Bihar, the politics regarding the prohibition of liquor is not taking the name of ending. Opposition members, including RJD MLAs, created a ruckus in the Bihar Assembly on Wednesday over the death of allegedly consuming spurious liquor even after the state prohibition. Due to this the proceedings of the House had to be adjourned.
With the commencement of the budget session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, the opposition members started a fierce ruckus alleging death due to spurious liquor in the state. Vidhan Sabha Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha kept urging for initiation of proceedings. The RJD, CPI-ML and Congress gave an adjournment on this matter, but the Speaker did not accept it.
Congress Legislature Party leader Ajit Sharma, drawing Asan’s attention to the issue, said that people died in many districts due to spurious liquor during Holi. He alleged that even post-mortem is not being conducted. During this, many opposition MLAs reached the Well creating a ruckus. The proceedings of the House had to be adjourned till 2 o’clock after the uproar by the opposition.
Before the House was adjourned, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary said that the matter discussed by the members has been taken seriously by the government. He assured that this matter will also be discussed in the reply of the Home Department.
Here, even when the proceedings of the House started again, the uproar of the opposition members did not stop. Several RJD members demanded the resignation of the Chief Minister during this period.
Earlier, RJD MLA from Mahua area, taking a dig at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, reached the assembly with a black bandage on his eye. The RJD MLA said tauntingly that ‘I am good governance, which is not visible’.
During the budget session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, on Wednesday, there was a fierce demonstration and uproar outside the House by the opposition members regarding the death of poisonous liquor in Holi. During this, RJD MLA from Mahua, Mukesh Roshan reached the assembly with a black bandage on his eyes.
He said that I am good governance babu, I am not seeing anything. He said that despite prohibition, hundreds of people have died due to drinking spurious liquor, but the government is not seeing it. He said that after all who is responsible for the death of these people.
He said that the government and administration are involved in a cover-up in this matter. He said that the ‘Government of Good Governance’ does not see anything.
It is noteworthy that during Holi, more than 30 people have died due to suspicious circumstances in different districts of the state. The administration is calling it a death due to disease.
