IMD Weather Update: Many states of North India including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab are still in the grip of dense fog. The Meteorological Department said that different parts of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh were covered with a blanket of very dense fog on Tuesday morning. At many places visibility is being recorded up to 0-50 meters. In Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh and Meghalaya, visibility is reaching 50-200 meters in different areas. Dense fog is likely to continue in all these states till December 28.
Dense fog will continue for 3-4 days
The Meteorological Department said that dense fog is being seen in Odisha this morning also. There will be fog here on Wednesday also. Along with this, dense fog is also being seen in many areas of Uttarakhand. Meghalaya, Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura are also not expected to get relief from dense fog till December 30. According to the Meteorological Department, dense to very dense fog is likely to continue over northwest and adjoining central India for the next 3-4 days.
Chance of rain here
The Meteorological Department said that coastal Tamil Nadu may receive light to moderate rainfall from December 30 to January 1, 2024. Along with this, there is a possibility of light rain in North-West and surrounding Central India on December 30.

Delhi-NCR weather
Dense fog is being seen in the entire NCR including Delhi, Noida this morning. Meteorologists have predicted partly cloudy sky on Tuesday and dense to very dense fog in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures can be around 24 and seven degrees Celsius respectively. The maximum temperature recorded in Delhi on Monday was 23.6 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees above this season’s average. There was slight improvement in air quality and it was recorded in the “very poor” category. The minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 7.8 degrees Celsius, which is normal for this time of the year.
