Weather Updates: Summer has started in most parts of the country and the temperature is increasing continuously. But in many states the weather seems to be taking a sudden turn. The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of thunder and lightning at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry. While light to moderate rain is possible over some parts of Kerala. In fact, a deep depression is forming in the south-west of the Bay of Bengal, which is located about 270 km from Chennai. Due to the effect of this deep depression formed in the Bay of Bengal, thunderstorms or light to moderate rain may occur at some places in Maharashtra, Gujarat, East Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh between 7 and 9 March. Lightning is also expected along with rain at some places.

It will rain in these states
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rains at isolated places over North Coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal on March 6. While Coastal Tamil Nadu and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh may receive light to moderate rains. Along with this, there is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad. On the other hand, light and moderate rain may occur in Uttarakhand on March 9 and 10. There is a possibility of rain in East Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. On the other hand, there may be light rain in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar-Jharkhand.
High seas and wind speed 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph are possible over southwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal, Bay of Mannar and north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and south Andhra Pradesh coasts. Strong wind can blow at a speed of Conditions will remain very rough over West Central Bay of Bengal, Gulf of Mannar and along and off North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coasts.
Light rain and thundershowers may occur over Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan on March 9. In Maharashtra, Gujarat region, East Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh, between March 7 and March 9, there may be moderate rain in easterly winds. The weather in the capital Delhi will be generally dry, but there is a possibility of strong wind in Delhi.
