Russia Ukraine War: The fighting between Ukraine and Russia has entered its tenth day. Thousands of migrants are trapped in many cities of Ukraine between these two wars. In which there were many students from India too, although more than 10 thousand of them have been expelled. People have been evacuated from almost all other cities except Sumi in Ukraine, but the screw is still stuck in the evacuation of about 700 people trapped in Sumi.
In fact, till now people themselves were coming out of Ukraine and reaching the neighboring country, from where the Indian government was bringing them back to their country, but in Sumi, the matter is different. Here, getting people out of the bunker in the midst of firing is like embracing death. Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said that most of the Indians have been evacuated from Ukraine. Some people are trapped in the bus Sumi and Pisochin.
What is the situation in Sumi- The Indian government has asked the students trapped in Sumi to stay for now. India is trying to have a ceasefire first so that these students can be evacuated from Ukraine easily and safely. In fact, the closest border with Sumi, from where one can go to neighboring countries, is Russia, from where the attacks are taking place. The road on the other hand is at the other end of Ukraine, from where it is difficult for these students to go. However the students have now lost their patience and started moving towards Russia. He has said that if anything happens to him, it will be the responsibility of the government, now he cannot stop between these blasts and firing.
What did the Ministry of External Affairs say? According to the Indian Express, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that the best option for us would be a ceasefire. From where we can take our students safely. In this regard, India is pressurizing both Russia and Ukraine for a ceasefire. On the evacuation of the students from Sumi, he said- “Obviously there are two or more options. They can go east or west of Ukraine. It depends on what the mode of transportation is. We need a safe route from which the children can be evacuated. If it’s easier than before, that’s fine. The east would be fine in terms of distance, but the west would be faster when there was a ceasefire, because then there would only be one frontline. We have teams on the ground, they will decide on it”.
On the other hand, PM Modi has said on Sunday that due to the increasing influence of India, thousands of Indians trapped in Ukraine have been brought home. He said that many big countries are facing difficulties in doing so for their citizens.
Let us tell you that both Russia and Ukraine have suffered heavy losses in this war. Russia has destroyed many cities of Ukraine. Ukraine, on the other hand, is claiming to have killed thousands of Russian soldiers. At the same time, Western countries are constantly trying to harm Russia financially by imposing sanctions on this war. Despite this, Russia continues to attack Ukraine on a large scale.
