There are chances of rain in the northeastern states including Assam. The Meteorological Department has also predicted rain in the areas of West Bengal adjacent to the Himalayas. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain at many places in Rajasthan, Gujarat, some areas of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha of Maharashtra, South Kerala and South Tamil Nadu.

According to the Meteorological Department, heatwave will be seen in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry till April 18. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of heat wave at many places in Odisha, Karnataka and Kerala. The Meteorological Department has said that there will be a heat wave in the areas along the banks of Ganga in West Bengal. According to the Meteorological Department, heat wave may continue in these states till April 20.

Due to one western disturbance after another, there was heavy snowfall in the hilly areas from January to mid-March. Apart from this, rain was also seen in the plain states. Snowfall and rain are still going on in the hilly states. After the current western disturbance, severe heat is expected in the states of North India also.
