Kolkata. In West Bengal, ruled by Mamta Banerjee, once again there is an allegation of murder of a BJP worker. This time the charge is on Kolkata Police. It is alleged that two police personnel of Golf Green police station in Kolkata took away a youth named Dipankar Saha from the house on July 31. Kept at the police station for four days. Then he was released. Dipankar’s mother has alleged that her son was brutally thrashed by the police. Due to which he died on the way to the hospital on 4 August. BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Legislative Assembly Shubhendu Adhikari has accused the Deputy Commissioner (South) of Kolkata and the Police Commissioner himself of conspiracy to kill Dipankar. It is being said that action will be taken against three policemen in this case.
Dipankar’s brother Rajiv Saha had last contested the Kolkata Municipal Council election on a BJP ticket. His mother Aarti Saha, accusing him of killing Dipankar, has given a complaint to the police station in-charge of Golf Green police station and registered a case of murder against unknown policemen including both the policemen who picked up the son from the house. Aarti alleges that on what charges Dipankar was taken to the police station, it was not even informed. It is clear from the stand of BJP in this matter that it is not going to leave the issue of Dipankar’s murder. Shubhendu Adhikari’s tweet after meeting Dipankar’s family members is indicating this.
Dipankar couldn’t bear the pain & died on 4th August on the way to MR Bangur Hospital.
We demand court monitored CBI enquiry. I met his family today to console them & pledged my support in their quest for justice.

Shubhendu has also uploaded a video of Dipankar’s brother Rajiv on his Twitter handle along with accusing high officials of Kolkata Police of murder. Apart from this, a photo of Dipankar’s dead body has also been attached. In this photo, injury-like marks are also visible on Dipankar’s body. He has also demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident under the supervision of the court. Let us tell you that during the rule of TMC in West Bengal and after the assembly elections held last year, there was fierce violence against BJP workers and supporters. Apart from killing all the people, there have also been incidents of rape of women. The Calcutta High Court is ordering their CBI inquiry.
