New Delhi. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude to India for supporting his country’s sovereignty during a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday. He said that it would be important for Ukraine to see India participate in the first peace summit in Switzerland. Zelensky appreciated India’s continuous humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine. The two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral partnership in various fields.

Zelensky said that Ukraine wants to strengthen relations with India, especially in agricultural exports, aviation, pharmaceutical and industrial products trade. He said, ‘Ukraine also wants to welcome Indian students back to Ukrainian educational institutions.’ India has been saying that the Russia-Ukraine conflict should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.
