New Delhi. Royal Challengers Bangalore, captained by Smriti Mandhana, has defeated Mumbai Indians and entered the final of the Women’s Premier League, where it will face Delhi Capitals on Sunday. After reaching the finals, now the women’s RCB team is being compared with the men’s RCB team which missed the title thrice after coming close to it. Mandhana says that she does not want to put too much pressure on her team by thinking about the men’s team. She says that she does not want to make any comparison with the men’s team.
The men’s team of Royal Challengers Bangalore has not been able to win a single IPL title in the last 17 years while it has been the runner-up thrice (2009, 2011, 2016). But in the second season of WPL, Mandhana-led RCB women’s team has got a great opportunity to win the title. Mandhana said, ‘First of all, I think this year was very important for us to connect with the entire franchise. Whatever happened with the men’s team, sometimes it creates pressure. So we are just thinking that we are just in the second session so we should not take too much stress. We have nothing to do with what happened to the men’s team.

‘It is important to live in the present’
The first season of WPL was not so good for RCB in which the team finished fourth in the league table. But Mandhana believes that it is important to live in the present. According to Smriti Mandhana, ‘According to what cricket has taught, it is important to live in the present. It is about playing good cricket on the match day and whichever team does well in tomorrow’s match will win the title.
