new privacy feature
According to the report of WABetaInfo, in the privacy feature which is being rolled out recently for WhatsApp beta users, the user will have the option to turn off the preview of the link coming in the message. If understood in simple language, users will have the option to turn off the preview of links in the messages they are receiving. If you send someone a link in chat right now, they see a preview of it along with the link. By disabling this feature, the user will only get the link and not its preview.
This feature of WhatsApp can be used to avoid online scamming. This feature has currently been rolled out for some beta testers. Users will be able to disable link previews by going to the app’s privacy settings. Apart from this, the company has also rolled out the chat lock feature a few months ago. This feature was brought for beta testing in May last year.
