According to the report of WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is soon going to offer a new edit option for the users, so that users will be able to edit the already sent messages. The new option will be available along with the Info and Copy buttons already present in the app. Let us know that both these options are visible to the users in the menu that opens by long-pressing on the text message in the app.
Old message will not be visible after edit
WABetaInfo has also shared some screenshots related to the Edit option. Users will be able to edit the text after selecting the Edit button in the pop-up menu that opens after long-pressing the text message. At the moment it is not clear whether the receiver of the message will know about the editing.
Apart from this, WhatsApp users will also not be able to check old messages after editing the message. According to reports, this feature will be made available on Android, iOS and desktop versions. Let us inform that earlier there were reports of similar options being tested several times in 2016 and 2017. However, later the company released the ‘Delete for Everyone’ feature.
