New Delhi. Former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly scored a lot of runs for Team India in his career. He was also the captain of the Indian team. Once he went on a tour of England with the Indian team. Where a strange incident happened with him in the hotel. He was scared after this incident. After which he went to his teammate Robin Singh’s room to sleep. This incident was revealed by Ian Botham.
Former England cricketer Ian Botham had told in his book that once Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly had encountered a ghost. Actually, it is the year 2002 when Team India stayed in a Lumley Castle hotel in England. Referring to this incident, Sourav Ganguly had said that there was no one in his room in that hotel. I was alone. I heard the sound of tap running from the washroom. When I went to the bathroom there was no one there.”
Rishabh Pant created history, became the first cricketer to do this in IPL, even Sehwag-Warner could not do this
Ganguly further said, “After this I closed the tap.” But even after I closed the tap, the tap sound was still coming. This happened 3 to 4 times. I was quite scared. I was the captain, so I couldn’t tell all these things to anyone. I had to go to another room, so I told Robin Singh that the heating in my room was not working. So let me stay in my room. After this, Robin easily agreed to my request.”
It is not that this happened only with Sourav Ganguly. Let us tell you that in the year 2005, former Australian cricketer Shane Watson also stayed in this hotel. A similar strange incident had happened to him that night. After the scare, he slept the whole night in the room of his fellow cricketer Brett Lee. He himself revealed this in an interview. He told that I was very scared. I cannot describe that incident.
