India’s neighboring country Pakistan remains in the headlines for some reason or the other every day. Due to the statement of some leader or some unique feat, Pakistan keeps getting trolled on social media. Got to see something like this one more time. A Pakistani pilot on Sunday refused to fly a plane from the Saudi capital Riyadh to Islamabad. According to the pilot, his duty timing was over, so he will not fly the plane.
Passengers were also very angry with this attitude of the pilot of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and they refused to disembark the plane. Giving details of the incident, the PIA said that PK-9754 took off from Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, but had to land in Dammam due to bad weather. At that time the captain of the flight refused to take the plane to Islamabad, saying that his duty was over.
Enraged by the remarks of the Captain, the passengers refused to alight to protest. Eventually airport security had to be called to bring the situation under control. A PIA spokesperson said the pilots needed to rest properly before taking off for the safety of the flight. So it was arranged accordingly.
Earlier, direct flights from PIA to Saudi Arabia were not increased. In November, PIA announced that it was expanding its flights to Saudi Arabia. According to the spokesperson, PIA flights will depart from various cities of Pakistan including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Peshawar.
