Former state president of Punjab Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday said that Arvind Kejriwal had given a guarantee for the farmers of Punjab, but even after that his troubles continue. He said that since the formation of the AAP government in the state, 7 farmers have embraced death so far. Taking a jibe at Arvind Kejriwal, he said where has your guarantee gone. Earlier, Navjot Sidhu had also visited the house of the family of a farmer who committed suicide. During this too he had attacked the Bhagwant Mann government.
Navjot Sidhu tweeted that Arvind Kejriwal had given a guarantee that we will ensure that no farmer commits suicide after April 1. Even after the formation of the AAP government, seven farmers have committed suicide in Bathinda district alone. Due to less than 30 per cent yield this year, distressed farmers have committed suicide. The government is preparing to arrest two thousand loan defaulter farmers. Let us inform that Navjot Singh Sidhu recently went to meet the relatives of the deceased farmer Jaspal, then it came to know that this time the farmer has committed suicide due to low yield. Navjok Singh Sidhu said that the government should give compensation to this family because all the responsibility has fallen on the two sons of this family.
Discord continues in Congress, Sidhu stayed away from coronation of new president
Visited family of Jaspal Singh who recently committed suicide due to low crop yield. 10 yrs ago his elder brother had committed suicide due to crop loss cz of fake pesticide. Urge PB Govt to give compensation to their father. There is no bigger burden than death of 2 sons. pic.twitter.com/0mcgFvHudD

Navjot Sidhu had resigned from the post of Punjab Congress President at the behest of the high command after the humiliating defeat in the Punjab Assembly elections. He was accused by the party leaders of factionalism and making constant statements against the then CM Charanjit Singh Channi. Now Congress has made Amarinder Raja Waring the President of the state in his place. However, the dispute still does not seem to end. Navjot Singh Sidhu did not appear in the program for the coronation of Amarinder Raja Waring on Friday morning. He was in the state office during the program but did not come out of his room. Apart from him, former president Sunil Jakhar was also not seen.
