New Delhi: After Germany and America, the United Nations has also commented on the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged liquor scam case of Delhi. However, a befitting reply has been given by the Ministry of External Affairs of India. But, among these questions, do you know who raised these questions in the press briefing of the US State Department and the United Nations? The name of the journalist who raised questions about Kejriwal’s arrest on different forums abroad is Mushfikul Fazal Ansare, who is a Bangladeshi citizen and lives in Washington, America.
This question was asked to the spokesperson of the US State Department
Ansare had asked a question to US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller that according to Amnesty International, ‘the crackdown on the opposition has intensified before the Lok Sabha elections in India. What is your reaction to India summoning the US diplomat over his comments regarding the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal, and how do you view the recent political turmoil in India over the misappropriation of the opposition party’s bank account?
American spokesperson had said- We will continue to keep an eye
In response to questions, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said, ‘We will continue to closely monitor these actions, including the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. We are also aware of the Congress Party’s allegations that tax authorities have frozen some of its bank accounts in a manner that will make it challenging to campaign effectively in the upcoming elections, and we are committed to addressing each of these issues in a fair, transparent and Demand timely legal procedures. We don’t think anyone should have any objection to this.
Ansare had raised questions in the United Nations also
Mushfiqul Fazal had asked the same question to the spokesperson of the UN Secretary General through video link during the press briefing on March 28. To this, spokesperson Stephane Dujarric had replied that we hope that ‘it will happen in India as it happens in any country having elections. Everyone’s rights, including political and civil rights, are protected and everyone is able to vote freely and fairly in such an environment.’
Why is Ansare interested in Kejriwal’s case?
It is important to know why a Bangladeshi journalist is so interested in reporting the news of the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal? According to reports, Ansare has a history of spreading anti-India stories and is also a fugitive from Bangladesh. In his articles, Ansare has often held India responsible for the political developments in Bangladesh. According to Mushfiqul Fazal Ansare’s Facebook profile, he is the Executive Editor of South Asia Perspectives, Executive Director of Right to Freedom, White House Correspondent for Just News BD.
Mushfikul Ansare has also met Rahul Gandhi
Let us tell you that Mushfiqul has used his credibility many times to instigate America to interfere in the affairs of India. Along with this, it has also been claimed that Jamaat-e-Islami and BNP fund Mushfiqul Fazal Ansare’s organization ‘Right to Freedom’. Along with this, Rahul Gandhi has also met Ansare during his foreign tour. (IANS)
