Share Market News : Despite it being Saturday, business is going on on Indian stock exchanges today. Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange are holding 2 special sessions today. This special session has been kept due to testing of the disaster management site created by the exchanges to deal with any adverse situation. In special live trading sessions on BSE and NSE today, intraday operations are being shifted from the primary site to the disaster recovery site. These sessions are being held to keep the exchange prepared to deal with any unexpected incident that may impact the functioning.
First session closed with gains
Today the first session was held from 9:15 am to 10 am. In this session, BSE Sensex opened with a slight gain at 73,921 points and closed at 73,959 points with a gain of 42 points. Out of 30 shares of Sensex pack, 18 shares were on green mark and 12 shares were on red mark. After this, the second session will be from 11:30 am to 12:30 noon. The maximum price range for all securities on which futures-option products are available will be five per cent during the special session. Securities already in the price band of two per cent or less will continue to be available in their respective bands.
There was a rise in these shares
Among the Nifty pack shares, the biggest rise was recorded in Nestle India by 2.19 per cent, Parvgrid by 1.31 per cent, ONGC by 0.92 per cent, Hindalco by 0.70 per cent and Hero MotoCorp by 0.45 per cent. At the same time, the maximum decline was recorded in JSW Steel by 1.54 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra by 0.38 percent, UltraTech Cement by 0.37 percent, Titan by 0.26 percent and Eicher Cement by 0.25 percent.
The market was open in the same manner on March 2 also
Earlier, NSE and BSE had held similar trading sessions on March 2. These trading sessions are being conducted based on discussions with market regulator SEBI and their technical advisory committee. The objective of this initiative is to assess their preparedness to handle any unexpected incident.
