Patna. A petition has been filed in Patna High Court demanding cancellation of nomination of RJD candidate Dr. Rohini Acharya from Saran Lok Sabha constituency. Petitioner Nripendra Kumar Chaturvedi has filed a petition accusing the Returning Officer of ignoring the complaint against Rohini. BJP candidate Rajiv Pratap Rudy told in a press conference on Thursday that the High Court has accepted the petition.
Actually, BJP had complained against the nomination papers and affidavit of RJD candidate Rohini Acharya from Saran before the Chief Election Commission of the state and the Returning Officer of Saran. It was said in the complaint that Rohini Acharya has given wrong information in the affidavit regarding her income and movable assets in the income tax return. In her affidavit, Rohini has declared her income as Rs 3,16,360/- in the return for the year 2022-23, Rs 1,67,840/- in the year 2021-22, Rs 4,030/- in the year 2020-21, Rs 3,000/- in the year 2019-20. 88,090 and in the year 2018-19 it is shown as Rs 3,89,033/-.

It has been said through a letter that Rohini Acharya lives in Singapore but she has not given details of her income in Singapore. It is also necessary to give details of foreign income. It is also said in the letter that Rohini Acharya has written her address as 208, Kautilya Nagar, MP/MLA Colony, Patna, whereas in the immovable property column she has mentioned only land in Danapur, Patna. Rohini Acharya has been living in Singapore for more than five years but she has not declared in the affidavit that she is a resident of India, even though it is necessary to declare this. She has not even discussed the fact that she has become an NRI (Non-Resident Indian).

He has not even given information regarding the status of his passport in the affidavit. After complaining to Saran RO regarding this, when BJP’s complaint was rejected by the RO, now a petition has been filed in Patna High Court regarding this.
