New Delhi. Ever since T20 cricket started. There has been a decline in the popularity of long format matches. Many players do not want to play in the longer format. Along with Test cricket, ODI cricket is also dying. But there is continuous talk about the test. Former cricketer Aakash Chopra has expressed his views on this. He has told whether there will be Test cricket in the future or not.
On AnyTV’s show Rising Bharat Summit 2024, Aakash Chopra said, “It had started then and there. When IPL started. Test cricket is like old school and no one wants to go old school. But Test cricket will remain. Now India played T20 series against England. People saw him too. So that’s why Test cricket will always be there. BCCI has also brought an incentive scheme to promote Test cricket. We welcome it. Test cricket is like a skill. This format will remain.”
Why does the Foreign Minister of India not forget the century of the foreign batsman, the incomparable innings played in Delhi…
Former women cricketer Anjum Chopra was also a part of this panel. Expressing her views on this, Anjum said that the popularity of Test cricket is really decreasing. Now no one wants to play Test cricket. As Akash said, BCCI is bidding to promote Test. The cricket boards of England, South Africa and Australia should also do the same.
