New Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah boldly answered the questions being raised on electoral bonds in the Rising India Summit 2024. Told about the transparent system of donations received by BJP, while raising questions on the intentions of Rahul Gandhi and INDI alliance. On Rahul Gandhi’s statement about week recovery, Amit Shah said that then why did he take week recovery of Rs 1600 crore? He should be accounted for. He has also received Rs 1600 crore. We have got Rs 6000 crores and the arrogant INDI alliance has also got Rs 6000 crores. Not a single penny less has been received.
Shah said that Rahul Gandhi should first give an account of where he got so much money from? We say that there is not even a single penny in the donations received by BJP, it is a pure donation brought in a transparent manner. Rahul Gandhi himself is admitting that the electoral bond system is a matter of extortion, so he should give an account of Rs 6000 crore. Where did they, TMC, NCP get it from?

The dominance of black money will increase again in the electoral system
In response to a question on electoral bonds, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that whatever decision the Supreme Court of India takes, all the people of the country are bound by it. I respect the decision of the Supreme Court. But I definitely want to give my personal vote on electoral bonds. Black money was on the verge of being eliminated from politics through electoral bonds, but this decision will again increase the dominance of black money in the electoral system. For this reason, the entire INDI alliance under the leadership of Rahul ji was against electoral bonds. He wanted that cut money should once again dominate politics, just like it used to do earlier.
The intentions of the opposition were sabotaged by bringing the bond.
Shah said that earlier donations used to come in cash. Suppose earlier someone used to donate Rs 1500 in cash. So he used to deposit 100 rupees in the party and take the remaining 1400 rupees to his home and to a Swiss bank or somewhere else in a country where information about taxes, donations etc. is not given. After getting the bond, the entire money came into the party’s account through cheque. This entire group under the leadership of Rahul ji is addicted to old things. What they want is that whether the party receives donations or not, whether there is any expenditure for elections or not, their generations should be able to live a very good life. Modi ji has attacked this issue by introducing a bond.

BJP adopted transparency on election donations
Amit Shah said that in 2014, out of all the donations that BJP received, 81 percent came through cash. In which no one’s name was mentioned. Used to deposit 20-20 thousand rupees. In 2018 this donation decreased from 81 percent to 17 percent. It will come down to 3 percent in 2023. Our party had adopted transparency on this.
He said that under the new system, who gave how much will also become confidential because all donations have to be given in cash. And which party received how much donation, that will also become confidential because it has to be taken in cash. Forget about taking it in cash, there will also be arrangements to take it home. The allegation against us that we have received a lot of donations is false. The INDI alliance led by Rahul Baba has received Rs 6200 crore, while we have 303 seats, how many seats do they have in the Lok Sabha. There are 17 governments in our states. Our party is running in every state. And the question of donation in front of a work is also wrong. Because out of the Rs 6000 crore that we received in the 2019 Lok Sabha, the bonds that were opened at the time of the Lok Sabha in 2019 have a donation of Rs 3071 crore. Obviously, when the code of conduct comes into force, donations do not come before work. After the implementation of the code of conduct of the Legislative Assembly, BJP has received donations of Rs 2640 crore. Even at that time there is a code of conduct and no work is done. We have received 90 percent of the donations through bonds after the implementation of the code of conduct.
