The fast becoming popular Ola electric scooter company in the country is facing several teething problems including delay in delivery. The company delivered only 275 units of its scooter across India till December 2021. At the same time, the company is going to open the final payment window today for all those customers who have paid Rs 20,000 for their electric scooter.
As you may recall, earlier this month, Ola’s Chairman and Group Executive Officer Bhavish Aggarwal also tweeted, “The Scooters fleet awaits! The final payment window opens on January 21, 6 PM in the Ola app for all customers who have paid ₹20,000. We will start deliveries in January and February.”
Information given by the company through social media
Ola Electric revealed the details of the purchase window on its official Twitter account. The tweet read, ‘Time: 6 pm. Date: 21st January. Where? First on the Ola app, then your location. If you have paid Rs 20,000, then this Friday (ie from today) you will be one step closer to bringing home your revolution!” Let us tell you, Ola launched its electric scooter, S1 and S1 Pro in August last year. Entered the green mobility space with the launch of Rs.99,999 and Rs.1,29,999 respectively.

When will Ola Electric Scooter reach the customers’ homes?
In the first round of sales, Ola Electric claims to have shipped a total of 4000 units to buyers across the country. The numbers for the second round have not been confirmed at the moment. However, Ola CEO Bhavish Agarwal recently shared a short video, in which a lot of Ola S1 Pro scooters are seen parked at the company’s Future factory near Chennai. He claimed that the scooters would be shipped in January and February. Once dispatched, the scooter is expected to take 10 to 20 days to be delivered. The delivery date will also depend on the location of the buyer and the nearest RTO.
