At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a seminar of women ascetics in Dhordo, Kutch, Gujarat on the occasion of International Women’s Day on Tuesday. The PMO said that Modi will address women saints through video conferencing. The PMO said that the seminar is being organized to recognize the role of women saints in the society and their contribution towards women empowerment. More than 500 women ascetics and preachers will participate in the seminar.
The seminar will include sessions on culture, religion, women’s upliftment, security, social status and role of women in Indian culture. It said that along with the achievements of women by the welfare schemes of the central and state governments, women are also being benefited, this will also be discussed. Union ministers Smriti Irani, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and Bharti Praveen Pawar will also attend the seminar. Apart from this, other people including Sadhvi Ritambhara, Kankeshwari Devi Maha Mandaleshwar will also be involved.
