Ayodhya. To make the Deepotsav historic, the work of decorating lamps by volunteers has started at 51 ghats of Ram Ki Paidi and Chaudhary Charan Singh with the slogan of Jai Shri Ram. To meet the target of lighting 21 lakh lamps set by the government, more than 24 lakh lamps will be lit by the volunteers. According to Prof. Pratibha Goyal, Vice Chancellor of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, this time also the Deepotsav will be made grand as per the wish of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. More than 25 thousand volunteers will again set a world record in Deepotsav. By late evening, 60 to 70 percent of the lamps were laid by volunteers at all the ghats under the supervision of supervisors, ghat in-charges and ghat coordinators.
Volunteers are getting entry only with identity card
To make the festival of lights supernatural, the university administration has ensured the allocation of lamps, wicks, candles and other materials to all the coordinators and volunteers. Entry of only officials discharging responsibilities related to Deepotsav will be allowed at the venue of Deepotsav. Volunteers and others will be allowed to enter the Deepotsav site only with the identity cards issued by the university administration and the district administration. A space of 2.5 feet has been set aside for the volunteers to light the lamps and a space of 4.50 by 4.50 square feet has been set aside for the block of 16 by 16 lamps (256). Similarly, a block of 14 times 14 has also been made. The lamps of these blocks will be lit by volunteers.
Guinness Book of World Records team will count the lamps
The size of lamps used in lamps will be 24 ml. 25 to 30 ml mustard oil will be poured into it by the volunteers. By November 9, the work of laying lamps on all the ghats will be completed by the volunteers under the supervision of the ghat in-charge. On November 10, after decorating the lamps and achieving the target, the ghats will be cleaned and the lamps will be counted by the Guinness Book of World Records team. To prevent wastage of oil, the university administration will supply one liter bottles to pour oil in the lamps. Volunteers will pour 30 ml of oil into each lamp. He has been trained for this. Volunteers and ghat in-charges will have to wear cotton clothes on the day of Deepotsav. While lighting the lamps, one has to take care of oneself as well as others. Deepotsav Nodal Officer Prof. Sant Sharan Mishra said that volunteers and other officials have been informed about the preparations for Deepotsav. Buses have been arranged for the volunteers from the university to Deepotsav. Every day buses are being left for Ram Ki Paidi from 8 am in the university. This includes residential complexes, affiliated colleges, inter colleges and voluntary organizations.
