On Friday, the session of the National Assembly of Pakistan was adjourned without moving a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. It is being said that this was done on the instructions of Imran Khan. During this, the opposition MPs protested strongly against the adjournment of the House. Let us inform that a no-confidence motion has been moved against Imran Khan and he has to get a majority in the Pakistani Parliament.
National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser adjourned the session saying that due to the death of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MP Khayal Zaman, the session is adjourned till 4 pm on March 28. All the leaders of the opposition, including the Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, were present in the house and these leaders staged a tremendous protest when the session was adjourned.
The speaker after setting up the session proceeded to his room. According to the rules of the National Assembly of Pakistan, after the no-confidence motion is moved, voting should take place between 3 to 7 days. Let us tell you that since March 8, there has been an uproar over the power in Pakistan, because on this day the leaders of the opposition parties gave notice of no-confidence motion against the Imran Khan government.
According to a report, after the session was adjourned, PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif warned that, “If the no-confidence motion is not allowed to be moved on Monday, they will not be responsible for what happens next. The Speaker acted as a PTI worker instead of the Speaker of the National Assembly.” Responding to Shahbaz Sharif’s remarks, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi asked him to apologize for making derogatory words against the Speaker. He said the opposition would get another setback on March 27.
Imran Khan is doing everything possible to save his government. On the other hand, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has given a statement saying that the voting on the no-confidence motion will be held on April 4. Also Rashid claimed that Imran Khan’s popularity in Pakistan has increased manifold.
