Today talk of Mossad’s mistake, due to which Israel’s Operation Wrath of God was halted for some time. In fact, this operation was carried out to take revenge on those who killed 11 Israeli players in the Munich Olympics, 1972. Black September and the Palestinian terrorist organization were behind this incident.
Let us tell you that on 5 September 1972, the Olympic Games were going on in Munich, Germany. In which Black September and the terrorists of the Palestinian terrorist organization took 11 Israeli players hostage. In the midst of the turmoil of this hostage crisis, two players had unsuccessfully tried to escape, who were killed by the terrorists in the beginning. Then later, due to the failure of the rescue operation, all the Israeli players lost their lives.
Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad believed Ali Hassan Salameh to be the mastermind of the Munich Olympics. However, for many years after the Munich incident, he remained underground and lived in different countries by changing names. Then it was found that he was in some Norwegian city. Only a month had passed since the Munich massacre and about four suspects had been killed through Mossad’s Operation Wrath of God.
The Mossad made a mistake in trying to complete its operation quickly and target the perpetrators of the Munich attack. When Mossad’s agents learned that Ali Hassan Salameh was in Norway, the team head was informed. Then when the investigation was carried forward in this matter, it was found that he was in Lillehammer, Norway. On 21 July 1973, Mossad agents attacked as planned, but Ahmed Bouchiki, a Moroccan waiter, lost his life.
Ali Hassan Salameh was still in good health. Ahmed Bauchiki, working as a waiter, was innocent, then the Norwegian police arrested six Mossad agents. Team head Mike Harari and a few other agents escaped. These six agents also included two female agents, one of which was Sylvia Raphael. Little did Mossad realize that his smartest and smartest agent would be caught. The case came to be known as the Lillehammer Affair, in which these agents were sentenced to five and a half years.
