Mathura. On Monday, women of Hindu religion offered prayers in the presence of police administration at the Krishna well located near the stairs of Shahi Idgah in Mathura. The police administration gave permission to worship Krishna Kup only to those women who were residents of the local street. On the other hand, the hearing of this case took place in Allahabad High Court today. Ashutosh Pandey himself, representing the main party, presented evidence confirming the order of the City Magistrate, Mathura, the report of the Police Area Officer, Mathura, in which Shri Krishna Kupa (disputed premises of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi) is considered to be Hindus and worship is done on the traditional Mata Shitala Saptami, Ashtami. .
The single bench hearing of Justice Mayank Kumar Jain took place for about 2 hours. In today’s hearing in the High Court, the main debate was on the application to allow free worship in Krishna Kupa. Apart from this, the Muslim side also debated about the maintainability of the civil suit. The Muslim side debated the maintainability of case numbers 4, 5, 7 and 17. On behalf of the Muslim side, senior advocates Tasneem Ahmadi and Mahmood Pracha presented arguments through video conferencing. The Muslim side filed objection on the photographs given by the Hindu side in the last hearing. On the next hearing, the Hindu side will file a reply to the objection of the Muslim side.

During the hearing of the case in the court, the Hindu side argued that the puja was performed today on Sheetala Saptami under police protection in Krishna Kupa. Tomorrow also, worship is to be done in Krishna Koop on Shitala Ashtami. In such a situation, there should not be any kind of disruption in worship. The Hindu side has alleged that people from the Shahi Idgah Mosque side create obstacles in the worship of Krishna Koop. Hindu side’s advocate Mahendra Pratap Singh said that the Krishna well was built by Vajranabha ji, the great grandson of Lord Shri Krishna. Worship has been happening here for 5000 years.

The Muslim side argues that the petitions filed are not worthy of hearing. The Muslim side has demanded rejection of the applications. In the hearing so far, the Muslim side has mainly argued for the dismissal of the petitions of the Hindu side by citing the Places of Worship Act of 1991, Waqf Act, Specific Relief Act and Limitation Act. Supreme Court lawyer Tasneem Ahmadi has been presenting arguments on behalf of the Muslim side for the past several dates.

Hindu side will get a chance to present arguments
The Hindu side has also completed its preparations to answer the arguments of the Muslim side in the court. After the Muslim side’s debate on maintainability of the Hindu side’s applications is completed, the Hindu side will get a chance to present its arguments. The maintainability of the applications under Order 7 Rules 11 has been challenged by the Muslim side. Allahabad High Court is hearing 18 applications simultaneously. On the lines of the Ayodhya dispute, the hearing is being held directly in the High Court instead of the district court. In most of the petitions, a demand has been made to hand over the Shahi Idgah Mosque to the Hindus by terming it as a religious place for the Hindus. The next hearing of the case will be on April 4.
