New Delhi. Royal Challengers Bangalore won the Women’s Premier League 2024 title by defeating Delhi Capitals. In the title match played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, RCB defeated Delhi by 8 wickets and captured the shining trophy. RCB franchise did this feat for the first time. RCB’s veteran player Ellyse Perry was given the Orange Cap for scoring the most runs. Let us know which player won which award.
RCB’s Shreyanka Patil was selected for the Purple Cap Award. This 21-year-old player shone with the ball and achieved another huge sum by taking 13 wickets in the season. He was given Rs 5 lakh as reward. Whereas, the Most Valuable Player award was given to Deepti Sharma of UP. The Indian all-rounder delivered all-round performances throughout the season, but it was not enough for his team to qualify for the playoffs. The Emerging Player of the Season award was given to RCB’s Shreyanka Patil.
Ellyse Perry won the Orange Cap
RCB star Ellyse Perry overtakes Delhi captain Lanning to take the top spot in the Orange Cap. This RCB woman scored 347 runs in nine matches of WPL 2024. His average was around 69.40. Perry scored two half-centuries in RCB’s title-winning season. He was given Rs 5 lakh as reward.
