Japanese two-wheeler maker Yamaha Motor India has announced that it has appointed Ishin Chihana as its new chairman. That is, Ishin Chihana will handle the India operations of the two-wheeler manufacturer as the new chairman. Notably, the new president elected by Yamaha has been associated with Yamaha Motor Company and its group companies around the world since 1991.
Speaking about his appointment as the Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group, Chihana said that “India is a country with a customer base and huge potential. With the majority of its population comprising of youth, it gives us the opportunity to advance Yamaha’s technological advancement and engineering. Gives them an opportunity to enter the market by meeting their expectations through skilling.”
He further added that Yamaha will continue to achieve new landmarks by introducing globally renowned product range under ‘The Call of the Blue’ brand strategy to further strengthen its position in the Indian market. To recall, the Japanese motorcycle giant currently sells both motorcycles and scooters in India. At the same time, the company is also selling its motorcycles in the lower mass market and high-end premium category.

Color update given to Yamaha Aerox 155
Let us tell you, earlier this year, Yamaha India launched its new generation R15 motorcycle. Along with the new YZF-R15 V4.0, the company also introduced the new Aerox 155 maxi-scooter. The price of which has been fixed at Rs 1,29,000 (ex-showroom, India). At launch, the Yamaha Aerox 155 was offered in two color options Racing Blue and Gray Vermillion. Which recently the company has announced to launch a new color option in Metallic Black.
