Lucknow . After the formation of the new government in UP, the Yogi government has started taking its steps towards providing employment to the youth. To promote employment in the industrial sector, IT & Electronics Department has focused on Startup Scheme. Under this, 10 lakh employment or self-employment opportunities will be provided by creating a self-reliant youth startup mission. Fulfilling this promise of Sankalp Patra, the department will help the entrepreneurs willing to open startups at district and divisional level, so that youth can get employment in new startups of the state. At present, the officials of the department are in touch with many young entrepreneurs willing to start startups.
According to officials of the IT and Electronics Department, soon the divisional level incubation centers will be set up in the state and 100 new incubation centers will be set up. At present about 20 incubation centers are functioning in UP. Through these, providing management training or other necessary services will help in developing new startup companies.
About 10 thousand new startups will be established through these incubators, which will provide direct employment to 50 thousand people and indirect employment to one lakh people. With such efforts of the government, employment opportunities will be provided to the local talent there. Not only this, incentives will also be given to those starting startups under the policy. Officials say that a program to train youth will also be run in the entire state so that startups can get skilled labor. Also, for such startups, which can work at the national and international level, more necessary help will be provided by the department. This includes schemes like their financing, running mentorship. Subsidy will also be given to good startups.
Officials claim that the UP government’s Startup Policy 2020 is pleasing to the youth who want to set up new startups. In this policy, more than 3,500 startups have been established due to the incentives given by the government to the entrepreneurs who want to set up new startups. This has provided employment to more than fifty thousand people. Maximum 1154 startups have been established in Noida. While 533 startups have been established in Ghaziabad, 500 in Lucknow and 1,219 in districts of Bundelkhand and Purvanchal region. These startups are working in information technology, service sector, education, health, agriculture, textile sector. Now it will increase further because soon 100 new incubators will be set up in the state, through which people will get employment.
At present, more than three dozen incubators are functional. The incubator to be set up in every district of the state will help in developing new startup companies by providing management training or other necessary services. After this, about 10 thousand new startups will be established, this will provide direct employment to 50 thousand people and indirect employment to 1 lakh people.
According to officials, the startup hub of the country is coming up in Uttar Pradesh. Startups in UP have grown manifold since the state’s new startup policy came in. Overall, Uttar Pradesh is now becoming the new startup hub of the country and all this has been possible due to the policy and roadmap prepared by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to provide employment to the people in the state. Presently, the new Startup Policy is promoting an efficient business environment in UP. Startups established in various sectors of medicine and health, agriculture, khadi, energy, education, transport, tourism etc. are giving new direction to UP. UP is joining the states providing maximum employment through startups. As a result of all this, startups established in the state are playing an important role in making the country a startup hub and soon new startups will improve this picture.
