Lucknow. Following the instructions of UP CM Yogi Adityanath, the campaign against the shahads who harass and molest women and girls has intensified in all the districts of the state. As a result, in the first week of April itself, 440 shohadees have been arrested. The police have registered 160 cases in different districts against those who misbehave with women. On April 2, Yogi ordered the re-activation of Anti Romeo Squad in all the districts. Monitoring of these squads is also being done so that the martyrs do not escape under any circumstances.
According to official sources of the UP government, from April 2 to 10, the Anti Romeo Squad conducted more than 43000 checking in all the districts of the state, schools, colleges, markets and other places. During this, more than 1.5 lakh suspects were questioned. 59000 people were warned. The maximum number of cases were registered against the martyrs in Lucknow zone, 79 and in Varanasi zone, 51. The top officers of the UP Police have asked all the subordinates to ensure the safety of women at all costs. He has said that the mission Shakti of the UP government has been started for the fourth time for the safety and dignity of women and girls.
Not only Anti Romea squads have been activated under Mission Shakti. Apart from this, an action plan for child protection and empowerment of women is also being prepared in the districts till April 13. After this, camps will be held in all the blocks till April 21. In this, applications will be taken from the beneficiaries of CM Kanya Sumangala Yojana, Widow Pension and other schemes. After taking the application, instructions have also been issued to give immediate benefits of these schemes to the concerned women or daughters.
