Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a big decision on Saturday, a day after taking oath. The free ration scheme has been extended for three months. Talking to reporters, the Chief Minister said that 15 crore people of the state would benefit from this scheme. 3270 crores will be spent on this scheme. Under this scheme, pulses, oil, salt and sugar will also be given to the poor.
He said that this scheme was started during the Corona period. The purpose of this scheme is to help the poor. About 3270 crores are spent on the free ration scheme. He said that the cabinet has decided that we will continue the scheme even further.
He said that this scheme would cost the state exchequer Rs 3270 crore. After this decision, 15 crore people of the state will continue to get benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Anna Yojana for the next three months.
Under the scheme, along with food grains, packets of pulses and salt, sugar etc. were also being given. For the next three months, 15 crore people of the state will continue to get this benefit. Our first cabinet has taken this decision.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, and Brijesh Pathak and cabinet ministers Suresh Kumar Khanna and Swatantra Dev Singh were present with him in the press conference.
Earlier, attending the first cabinet meeting of Yogi Adityanath Government 2.0, Dr. Sanjay Nishad of Nishad Party, who became a minister for the first time in the BJP government, and Nitin Agarwal, who joined BJP from SP, were also there. Jitin Prasad and Sandeep Singh were also with them. Minister of State, Independent Charge, Sandeep Singh said that today is the first cabinet meeting and it is possible that important decisions will be taken in today’s meeting. Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak also reached to attend the cabinet meeting. Suresh Kumar Khanna and first time cabinet minister Rakesh Sachan were also present in the meeting.
Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, Cabinet Minister Swatantra Dev Singh were also present. This is the first decision of the newly formed government.
