Patna. In Patna, doctors performed a complex operation on a pregnant woman and gave new life to her and her baby. The woman’s intestines had rotted. He was not able to digest even a single grain. There was a baby in the womb. Therefore, both their lives were in danger. But the doctors saved both of their lives.
Recently, a patient was admitted for delivery in Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital of Mahavir Mandir Trust, on seeing whom even the doctors were surprised. This was not a normal delivery but a high risk delivery. The team of doctors operated on this high risk pregnancy and it was also successful. Actually, this was a case of intestinal obstruction in pregnancy. Under the leadership of Dr. Anamika Pandey, head of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department of the hospital, the team operated on the woman and successfully took out the baby.

A 25-year-old pregnant woman living in Sitamarhi was brought to the hospital in a very critical condition. She was suffering from constant vomiting and indigestion. The family members hurriedly took him to Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital. During the investigation, doctors found out that the victim’s intestines had rotted and she was pregnant with a child. After this, the team of doctors under the leadership of Dr. Anamika Pandey performed the operation. The rotten part of her intestine was operated upon and premature delivery was done. After the operation, the doctors kept the pregnant woman under intensive medical observation for 9 days. The newborn girl was also pre-term. He was treated by keeping him in the pre-term ward of Mahavir Vatsalya Hospital.

The family members of the victim woman said that the condition was so serious that no hospital was ready to admit her. The woman and her newborn baby were discharged from the hospital today after their recovery. Under the leadership of Dr. Anamika Pandey, a team of doctors including Dr. Om Purve, Dr. Rakesh, Dr. Pulak Tosh and Dr. Geeta performed the operation in emergency conditions after two hours of hard work. Dr. Anamika Pandey said that cases of intestinal obstruction during pregnancy have been seen in only 0.001 percent patients worldwide.
