Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif
Islamabad: Pakistan calls China its friend, but China even recovers compensation for the death of its citizens from Pakistan. This shows how strong the relations between the two countries are. Pakistan always stands before other countries with a bowl in its hand for money. Pakistan also needs money from China. Now, at such a time, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will visit China for five days with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations. The Foreign Office has given information about PM Sharif’s visit to China.
There will be talks on CPEC project
China has been Pakistan’s evergreen ally. China has invested billions of dollars in Pakistan. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project is also a part of this investment. Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zehra Baloch said in her weekly press conference that Sharif will visit China from June 4 to 8 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. The purpose of this visit is to enhance cooperation under the CPEC project, as both sides are eager to complete the second phase of the project.
PM Sharif held a meeting
CPEC was launched a decade ago. Prime Minister Sharif held a meeting in Islamabad on Friday in view of his upcoming visit to China. In the meeting, PM Sharif directed to prepare an action plan to encourage Chinese companies to set up industries in Pakistan. He also assured that Pakistan will provide every possible facility to Chinese industrialists and investors.
The delegation will accompany the PM
According to Radio Pakistan, during the visit of the Pakistani Prime Minister, a delegation will also accompany him which will include industrialists and investors of the country. Meanwhile, a report in The Express Tribune said that the government has approved the construction of another road project at a cost of two billion US dollars under CPEC. This has paved the way for signing the agreement related to its framework during Prime Minister Sharif’s visit to Beijing. Out of the US $ 28 billion investment made so far under CPEC, US $ 6.7 billion has been invested in infrastructure projects. (Language)
