India’s Krish Pal (46kg) and Ravi Saini (48kg) entered the semi-finals of the 2022 ASBC Asian Youth and Junior Boxing Championships in Amman, Jordan, on Sunday by registering contrasting wins.
In the quarterfinals, Krish of Chandigarh defeated Robert Jamero of Philippines 4-1 and Ravi defeated Aphichit Chamdi of Thailand 3-2 in the quarterfinals. Renu (52kg), Prachi (57kg) and Raveena (63kg) made it to the youth women’s semi-finals on Saturday night with easy wins in their respective category matches of the last four.
In the youth men’s section, Deepak (75kg) advanced to the semi-finals with a comfortable 5-0 win over Khalid Alqurdi of the United Arab Emirates. However, the campaign of Ashish Hooda, Rocky Choudhary and Jaskaran Singh came to an end after losing the last eight.
