Mamta Banerjee will not attend
Sources say that Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee will not attend the meeting to be held on Saturday morning, as she is busy with pre-planned programs. Sources said that appointing the coordinator of the opposition alliance will also be discussed in the meeting. According to sources, Janata Dal (United) is advocating making Bihar Chief Minister and its president Nitish Kumar the convenor, but Trinamool Congress is not in favor of it. Mamata Banerjee had advocated the name of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for the post of convenor and prime ministerial candidate in the last meeting of the ‘India’ alliance.
Sources say that decisive talks can also be held in this meeting regarding seat sharing. The National Alliance Committee of Congress has so far discussed with many allies regarding seat sharing.
