People like to make cucumber raita or eat it as a salad. Cucumber is helpful in controlling weight, controlling sugar level as well as relieving stress.

Dr. Vidya Gupta, a home science expert posted at Krishi Vigyan Kendra Niyamatpur, told Local 18 that cucumber is a storehouse of nutrients. It detoxes the body in the summer season. It does not allow water shortage, it provides relief from jaundice, fever, thirst, body irritation and acidity. Cucumber not only improves appetite but also removes the problem of constipation.

Kheer prevents dehydration
Dr. Vidya Gupta told Local 18 that cucumber is very beneficial for health. Cucumber contains high amount of calories and water. Due to which it protects the body from dehydration. Cucumber should not be consumed at night. It can be harmful for health.

Dr. Vidya Gupta said that cucumber is especially beneficial for people suffering from diabetes due to its low glycemic index. It is also very beneficial for kidney stone patients. It keeps the kidney healthy by removing toxins from the body. Cucumber protects from heat stroke in summers. Apart from this, it also makes the skin beautiful and glowing.

Keeps stress far away
Dr. Vidya Gupta told Local 18 that due to the soluble fiber found in cucumber, it keeps the digestive system better. It controls weight and removes the problem of obesity. Antioxidants are found in abundance in cucumber, which are helpful in controlling the sugar level. Regular consumption of cucumber will also keep you away from stress.

Eating cucumber at night is dangerous
Dr. Vidya Gupta said that three cucumbers can be consumed daily. Cucumber can be made into a salad, raita, juice can be extracted and drunk or it can be made into a vegetable and eaten. Keep in mind that cucumber should never be included in your diet at night. Otherwise, it can spoil your health.
